Fabrication and Characterization of Proton Conductive Membranes Based on Poly(methyl methacrylate-co-maleic anhydride)
In this study, proton conductive composite membranes were produced by using a poly(methylmethacrylate-co-maleic anhydride) (P(MMA-co-MAH)) copolymer and phosphotungstic Acid (PWA) as an additive of the proton conductive agent. P(MMA/MAH) 70/30, 50/50, and 30/70 were synthesized using a free radical polymerization reaction. PWA with a concentration of 2% was added to...
متن کاملA novel route for preparing highly proton conductive membrane materials with metal-organic frameworks.
Fe-MIL-101-NH(2) was prepared by a novel method. The MOFs adhered well to SPPO via chemical bonds, and yielded the mixed-matrix Fe-MIL-101-NH(2)-SPPO membrane for use in fuel cells. The proton conductivity of the membranes was as high as 0.10 S cm(-1) at room temperature and 0.25 S cm(-1) at 90 °C.
متن کاملThree-Dimensional Metal-Catecholate Frameworks and Their Ultrahigh Proton Conductivity.
A series of three-dimensional (3D) extended metal catecholates (M-CATs) was synthesized by combining the appropriate metal salt and the hexatopic catecholate linker, H6THO (THO(6-) = triphenylene-2,3,6,7,10,11-hexakis(olate)) to give Fe(THO)·Fe(SO4) (DMA)3, Fe-CAT-5, Ti(THO)·(DMA)2, Ti-CAT-5, and V(THO)·(DMA)2, V-CAT-5 (where DMA = dimethylammonium). Their structures are based on the srs topolo...
متن کاملNovel inorganic/organic hybrid membranes for proton exchange
Two types of inorganic/organic hybrids comprising Brønsted acid-base ionic groups have been prepared and studied for proton exchange membranes (PEM) applications. The hybrid membranes have a highly cross-linked silicon-oxygen backbone and trifluoromethanesulfonimide (HTFSI) doped organic amine groups. The Si-O backbone provides the membranes thermal/chemical/mechanical properties and the HTFSI-...
متن کاملRecent progress in the synthesis of metal–organic frameworks
Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have attracted considerable attention for various applications due to their tunable structure, porosity and functionality. In general, MOFs have been synthesized from isolated metal ions and organic linkers under hydrothermal or solvothermal conditions via one-spot reactions. The emerging precursor approach and kinetically tuned dimensional augmentation strategy ...
